From the A30 at Launceston, take the A388 towards Callington, after about 8 miles, turn right onto the B3257, signed Bodmin.  Higher Manaton entrance is just a few hundred yards on the left.  The farmhouse is situated at the end of the drive. 

 

Alternatively, on a nice sunny day you may prefer to enjoy driving across Dartmoor, to the ancient Stannary town of Tavistock.  From Tavistock take the A390 through Gunnislake towards Callington.  About a mile after St Anns Chapel turn right onto the B3257, signed Launceston. At Kelly Bray turn right onto the A388.  Approximately one mile branch off left onto the B3257, signed Bodmin. Bray Shop and Coads Green.  Higher Manaton entrance is just down the road on the left.
